We are currently seeking a Project Manager for our Calgary office. This role will interact with Account Managers and other team members from across the agency, and lead successful delivery of online and offline projects for our clients. 

Core Duties and Responsibilities include: 

  • The Project Manager is ultimately responsible for the successful development of both online and offline projects, working with a cross-functional, multi-disciplinary team of resources to ensure projects are delivered on-time and on budget with complete accuracy.
  • Planning, scheduling and control of all project activities toward these objectives, applying technical, theoretical and managerial skills to satisfy project requirements, while building positive professional relationships with vendors, colleagues and associates.
  • Working both independently and with team members to estimate costs for new project work, including change management elements on active projects.  Providing regular updates on project status and budget.
  • Development of specs for projects as needed.
  • Quality assurance and proof-reading of all project work.
  • Practices project management principles, methods and techniques; recommends process/procedural improvements.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of work related experience required, in role(s) that required careful data reporting, analysis and data collection from multiple, varied sources. Advertising agency experience an asset.
  • Experience in managing projects budgets and schedules for: Print, Broadcast (Television, Radio), Direct Mail, Websites, Digital Marketing – Online Display & Rich Media, Email, Social Media and CRM projects
  • Proven experience in and successful management of projects with cross-functional teams (Client Marketing, Creative, Production, Strategy, Media, Interactive and Events)
  • A deep understanding of print production, broadcast production, website development methodologies and experience in managing websites in multiple programming languages (HTML, ASP, ASP.NET, PHP and Flash) is an asset
  • Strong understanding and continuous execution of the fundamentals of project management, including: Scoping Project Specifications, Scheduling, Risk Management, Issue Management, Change Management, etc.  PMP or CAMP certifications preferred.

Job description

Venture is seeking a client marketing manager to actively participate in the servicing of Venture's key customer accounts with a focus on building customer loyalty, maintaining customer relationships, and generating additional service opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have +3 years of experience in a marketing and/or communications field, and should have a university degree in the social sciences (communications, English, political sciences).

Reporting to a Client Marketing Director, the candidate's responsibilities will include:

  • Actively participate in the servicing of Venture key customer accounts with a focus on building customer loyalty, maintaining customer relationships and generating additional service opportunities.
  • Actively following the Venture process for delivering marketing programs.  
  • Delivering client contact reports, budget control reports, and the development of accurate estimates in a timely and appropriate manner. 
  • Routinely holding face-to-face meetings with the clients assigned to them, as well as managing the relationship in a professional, ethical, and disciplined manner.
  • Working with other departments to integrate Venture’s offerings into a holistic approach based on the customers’ needs.

Job description

Do you have a passion for making great web content? We’re looking for a junior in-house contract videographer with at least two years of experience behind a camera. You can also edit and manage files while working to deadlines and travelling across the Prairie provinces. If this sounds like you, and you know your way around Adobe Premier, After Effects, and Photoshop, we’d like to hear from you.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Capture video content based on pre-defined creative concepts
  • Travel with an event crew across the Prairies to capture content at over 20 events
  • Work closely with our Creative team to edit content into high quality produced videos to be used online

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of related work experience required
  • Must provide own camera equipment and have mobile editing capabilities (edit suite for final cuts will be provided)
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines under minimal supervision
  • Self-starter willing to adapt on-location to capture the best content possible

This role is responsible for developing predominantly digitally-consumed and social-media-based written content under the direction of a Media Lead.  The successful candidate will have proven experience writing for a variety of media channels, across various industry topics.

  • Copywriting and proofreading in a wide variety of styles, tones and formats.
  • Researching, writing and editing pieces for marketing communications campaigns, predominantly in the form of web content, blog posts, articles, white papers, and social posts.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with multiple simultaneous assignments.

This is an intermediate role, responsible for executing, managing, and reporting on multi-platform campaigns for a variety of clients under the direction of a Media Lead. Primary responsibility will be managing SEM, online display, mobile, and video campaigns. The successful candidate will have campaign management experience, high attention to detail and ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.

  • SEM campaign management skills are mandatory

Desired skills and experience
